I was looking for a way to gain both strength and fitness. After doing some research on different methods of cross training I came across CrossFit and it looked to be a fantastic balance between strength and cardio conditioning.
My first impression of WOF CrossFit was how well laid out and organised the facility was. What also struck me was how friendly everyone associated with WOF was. This hasn’t changed! In my time at WOF the facility has only expanded and there is new equipment for us to use on a regular basis!
My bright spot from my time at WOF would have to be getting my first muscle up. It’s one of those things in CrossFit – everyone remembers their first muscle up! The next big goal is mastering handstand walks.
So far, my favourite WOF memory would have to be taking out the WOF games with the rest of the Team Black. It was a fantastic competition and everyone put in 100%.
Something you might not know about me: I have competed in the firefighter Sky Tower climb raising awareness and funds for leukaemia blood cancer.
