I had suffered an injury and as a result I became really complacent with exercise and, subsequently, weight has crept on. I decided it was time to do something about it, and I liked the idea of being part of a community.
My first impression was ‘Oh my god I’m terrified!’ but I was excited at the same time. The entire team at WOF are so supportive and encouraging. Having been part of the box for such a short time it really does make a difference to have a fantastic atmosphere and working environment.
My first bright spot would definitely be getting my first box jump. I think this was a mental win as much as a physical one. I could see it on the coach’s face that he was going to get me on that box! I am still at the beginning of my journey so it is very much the basics, and I am still in rehab for an injury. But my goal at the moment is around general fitness and balanced nutrition to bring my weight down, as well as confidence!
I haven’t got a stand out memory yet, but I will keep you posted!
One thing you don’t know about me is that I have a beautiful husky! He is so cheeky you can only love him to bits.
